Student Ombudsperson

(art. 33 of the Statute)

The Ombudsperson is the impartial point of reference who receives students’ requests for intervention regarding any abuse, dysfunctions, shortcomings, delays, violations of the law or of the Code of Ethics and Conduct by faculty members, assesses their reliability and substance, and reports to the Rector for any subsequent action.
The Ombudsperson is a faculty member of the Polytechnic, appointed by the Academic Senate from a shortlist of candidates put forward by the Student Council, serves a three-year term, and may be renewed only once.
The regulation of the Guarantor's functions is provided for in a specific regulation.

The Student Ombudsperson for the 2024/2027 three-year period is the Prof. Umberto BERARDI (umberto.berardi@poliba.it)
