The Polytechnic University of Bari is committed to the well-being of its students by offering a comprehensive and accessible Psychological Counseling service. This service is designed to support emotional well-being within our academic community, while also fostering the emergence and enhancement of each individual’s personal resources. The service can support you in managing stress related to the university context, help you face your daily challenges more effectively, define your personal and academic goals, and also support you in case of difficulties in managing your emotions.
Who it is for
· Students: we know that the academic journey can present unique challenges. If you are dealing with exam stress, difficulties in interpersonal relationships, anxiety, or any other personal difficulty, psychological counseling is here for you.
Activities offered
Our service offers a range of activities designed to promote psychological well-being:
· Individual Counseling Sessions: confidential meetings with experienced psychologists provide a safe space to explore emotions, concerns, and personal issues. Each intervention, brief and focused, is tailored to address your specific needs. The intervention format, organized in person and/or online, includes from 4 to 6 sessions.
· Group Training: we organize group meetings on various topics, such as: study organization and planning, strategic time management, problem solving, effective communication style, motivation to study, assertiveness.
· Awareness Activities: throughout the year we promote events and information campaigns to raise awareness in the community about mental health, reducing stigma and encouraging openness in seeking help.
How to access
Accessing the service is simple and straightforward:
1. Booking: To book a session, you can fill out the FORM
2. Hours: the service is available from Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
3. Confidentiality: Privacy is essential. All meetings are strictly confidential and take place in a comfortable and non-judgmental environment, where you can feel free to express yourself.
