Life SKEMA – Skill Ecosystem, Market-driven Learning and Advanced Training for Green and Smart Installers
Life SKEMA is a project co-funded by the Programma LIFE – Clean Energy Transition aimed at modernising the skills of smart and green installers through the development of updated professional profiles, the strengthening of training systems, and cooperation among training bodies, businesses and stakeholders to accelerate the energy and digital transition.
Objectives:
The main objective of the SKEMA project is to evolve the skills ecosystem in order to expand training opportunities and qualification systems in the installation sector, with specific attention to professionals working in technical fields.
Expected results:
One-Stop-Shop platform: The OSS will serve as a central hub for sharing resources among lecturers, researchers, trainers and industry experts, fostering collaboration and the dissemination of knowledge. This platform will ensure that trainers are constantly updated on the latest developments and best practices, thereby improving the quality and effectiveness of continuing vocational education and training (CVET) programmes.
Pilot academy: Life SKEMA aims to create and test an innovative and replicable training model focused on strengthening the skills of installation professionals in three priority areas:
BACS (Building Automation Control Systems);
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning)
Smart energy management
Smart and green Installer Academy (SIA) Network: The Academy Network offers a clear pathway for future growth, with a defined plan for its development after the project ends. This network will include replicators and followers – vocational training centres and schools already involved in the project phase – ensuring continuity and the expansion of the results and methodologies developed during the project.
