From Turkey to Bari to learn about the Polytechnic and its opportunities

Students and teachers from the Italian High School “IMI” in Istanbul visit Poliba with colleagues from “Fermi”. Rector Fratino: «We are strengthening guidance and internationalization»

A delegation of students and teachers from the Italian International High School “IMI” in Istanbul visited the Polytechnic University of Bari yesterday. Welcomed by Rector Umberto Fratino, the students and their teachers listened to a brief presentation of the university and its role in the local area, its main fields of study, the most innovative courses and professional opportunities, delivered by Professor Stefania Cherubini, delegate for guidance.

Also accompanying the delegation from Turkey were students and teachers from the Scientific High School “Fermi” in Bari, which promoted the meeting as part of an intercultural exchange with the Istanbul school. IMI is in fact a scientific high school that awards Italian qualifications and is attended by Italian and Turkish students interested in learning about the Polytechnic and its educational offer, in order to assess the possibility of pursuing university studies in Bari.

«It is another way for us to carry out guidance in a more international dimension» comments Rector Fratino. «Our goal – he adds – is to project the Polytechnic into a new phase of development in the coming years, with a role as an attractor of young international talent, in particular from Mediterranean countries».
